WATER INFILTRATION

Leaks can be difficult to find, even more aggravating is everyone is pointing fingers at other trades. I have seen numerous qualified professionals throw cases of sealants and years of repeating the same mistakes, while never solving the leaks. Sometimes it's our windows that are leaking,

often its other building envelope systems leaking into the glazing system.

Wet System Overload

For several years caulk has been thrown on this curtain wall. The masonry was leaking into the wall. We added end dams to the curtain, tuck pointed the bricks and sealed the bricks.

Vinyl Gasket Failure

Deteriated gaskets, missing weep holes and the wrong gaskets installed on this system. We removed the gaskets, caulked, added weep holes and sealed the precast.

Our inspections start from the top. I have over 18,000 hours on the chair. Often this is the most cost-effective method of inspecting a building.

Water Testing

Recreating natures weather proved the leaks were due to poor craftsmanship. All the cavities were leaking from the top into the lower windows. Its a beautiful system when installed right.
